For those of you in the Meat Group, I apologize for letting Meat Day slack as much as it has. However, today that changes and Meat Day returns, for today at least.
So, for those of you in the Group and those who love meat, go out there and EAT some MEAT!
Personally, I am going to get some beef ribs or a nice fat, juicy rib-eye and gorge myself tonight. I will chase it all down with the sweetest tea in South Mississippi. That's correct, I am going to Leatha's tonight!
Eat some Meat!
How many pair of shoes do you have? Out of those pairs, how many do you wear more than a few times a year?
Submitted by fightinggale.
I wear one pair of shoes for work - they are brown, leather-like, hiking boots. I have one pair of tennis shoes that I would wear all of the time, but can't always wear to work. I have a pair of cheap sandals that I would also wear all of the time, but can't to work. I have a pair of those burk things that I wear when I want to wear sandals to work. I have two pairs of old arse tennis shoes that I wear when working in the yard (they are at least 6 or so years old). I have a pair of snake boots that I wear when we hunt. I have a pair of hunting boots that I wear when it is not snake season - also used for hunting. I am sure there are more, but I usually just wear my work shoes and sandals.
Sorry it could not be more interesting.
So, we spent the money to go see Iron Man in theatres. We also spent the money on popcorn and drink and reeses pieces. I have to admit that I was not sorry to spend all that loot on this movie. It was fantastic. Downey Jr. was great. The rest of the actors and actresses were great. The props and effects were great. The story was even good.
I sincerely hope that there is a sequel and that it does not suck.
Go see this movie if you like comic adaptations. It is on par with the first Spider Man movie.
One almost feels as if stuff like what is in the movie is possible.
That's all
P.S. Reeses Pieces and Popcorn ROCK!
...well perhaps, a vow, if I can get away with it.
In light of recent gas price increases and the uncanny way that "big oil" is making monster profits, I shall attempt to make a vow and I implore you to do the same. I cannot go without a vehicle, as I believe I have said before that this town has shite when it comes to public transport and it does not make sense, nor is it possible, for me and my wife to share a vehicle everyday. Anyway, I have stepped away from the point.
The point is that I am frelling tired of companies like Exxon, Mobil, Shell, Texaco, etc making monster profits and not being called on their actions. Oh, the government will have meetings with them and bad mouth them every so often, but NOTHING is accomplished. The "big oil" companies complain that they are being picked on. You frelling straight they are being picked on. Middle and Lower class America is being FUCKED on gas prices while "big oil" is doing the FUCKING money dance.
To the vow: I will NOT buy gas from Exxon, Mobil, Shell, Texaco, etc. I will only purchase my gas from unbranded sources when possible. My Shell and Exxon cards will go unused, unless I have no other choice. It's like earth day, except I am going to do it everyday. Maybe my piddly 300.00 - 400.00 dollars a month in gas not being purchased from "big oil" will mean that some fucking executive will have to drink one less pint of babies blood with his/her supper. I know it's not much, but it makes me feel better. I suggest you do the same.
FUCK BIG OIL!
Good Day
What do you do EVERY day to take care of the earth's environment? What could you do more of?
For the earth's environment? I don't do much. I think it rather egotistical that people believe that they can do anything for the earth's environment. It will take much more than one person to make a difference with the crap that we have done to the earth, and I don't think humanity is willing to do any more than cover its own arse. Politicians surely don't give a shite about anything other than making money - YES, I mean ALL politicians. I don't think there is one frelling decent politician out there. Big companies don't care about the environment. They care about the bottom line and the environment ain't it. I care. I would like the earth to last a very long time. The fact is, however, it will not. We as humans will continue to frell it up. Why? Well, that's what we do. We pander to our own egotistical needs and selfish desires. We rationalize and say we are helping. One frelling light bulb changed? I've been hearing about/celebrating earth day since sometime in the 1980s and things HAVE NOT gotten much better, if at all. 20+ years is a long time for no change. Why is earth day not every frelling day? Why once a year? I'll tell you; it's so we will feel better about ourselves and the fact that for one frelling day we can make a difference. That's the same as telling children that they can be whatever they want when they grow up - bullshite! Little Johnny can't be president. Little Johnny should not always get a trophy.
Happy Frelling Earth Day!
Go burn some tires and bring the hate - it's that kind of day.
