Cooler pastures...

We have a new AC!  Well, we have a new outside unit which I am told is actually the air conditioner, so it is, in fact, a new AC!  Well, new to us.  It's never been used new; however, it is a model that is no longer made.  Why the new AC?  Well, our old unit was, in fact, old.  It was the same age, give or take, as the house (40 or so years old).  So old in fact that two or three different sets of AC guys had never seen its match and/or could not even identify what brand it was.  It was a General Electric.  It also sucked the juice from the electric company making our bills pretty high.  Here's hoping that our new unit will at least cut those bills by a 1/3 or so.

Oh, and did I mention that we did not have to pay for labour?  Well, we did not have to pay for labour.  All we had to do was buy the unit.  A friend of my wife's family and my father-in-law installed it for us free of charge.  Oh, and no worries, he has an AC company and is certified and all that...

It all comes down to one big, cool WOOT!
