The contest to end all contests on my blog will END tomorrow NIGHT! That's correct, October 31 @ 11:59.59 p.m. will signify the end of the CONTEST. All entries received after that time will STILL count, perhaps. However, get your entries in sooner so as my crunch Law Furm - KAC - can digit up the numbers and get some results to you, the voters.
The Ash of KAC does not like late entries and you don't want to anger the ASH!
Kit, aka Stinky, wants you to look into her eyes and tell her WHY you did NOT vote - can you do that? No? Then VOTE!
Clyde can care less... He's too busy to count votes.

Oh, the baseball is over, so I will stop making fun of baseball juice monkeys (that's steroid jocks for those that are curious).
The Law Furm of KAC (Kit, Ash, and Clyde) has reached a 2 out 3 decision to slightly alter the contest's rules. This comes after several Hood Peeps have posted their answers to their blog as well as PMed me - Sixbucksamonkey and IG to name but two. According to the Furm's original rules, you were to PM me your entries and then after the end of October, I would announce the winners. The Furm has since decided that it would be a good idea for you to post your answers to your blog so that people would know for whom you voted and why. The Furm also agrees that this may be a good idea because sometimes all I received were initials, like IG, for entries. IG, can be one of several VOX members, thus making it hard to determine the actual winner. The Furm further states that you must also post a comment with a link to your entries, if you go this route, to the original contest proposal - found here.
At the end of October, I will aggregate all of the entries and deliver the final winners. You will then be able to tell the world, again, whom you voted for and why. Out of all of the winners, you will then vote on the ultimate winner.
The Law Furm of KAC must state once again that this is a 2 out 3 decision because one member could not be reached for comment.
Got Tigged. Wife met me at work. Got off at six. Went eat at new joint in this restaurant wanting town. New joint turns out to be a burrito joint like Moes. A little expensive but about damn time we get a place with burrito goodness. Went get groceries at a Save Right. Did fairly well and ended up right under 100.00 on the tab. I am a money worrier, so this was good. Got home. Got mail. Got electric bill. Joy of joys, the electric bill was 122.00. Awesome! Previous bill was 250.00 and the previous 300+. If you remember, we got a new A/C a while back. It appears to have paid off a bit. It ain't got that much cooler in Mississippi between August and September. Big test will come next summer. Also got a check in the mail for an Insurance reimbursement. Frelling Awesome! A good evening. Oh, and there was chocolate fudge cake dessert. Oh, and we are watching the last of Rome tonight - season 2, episode 10 (sad to see it end, but a damn fantastic series).

I propose a best VOX member contest - with categories. Why? See my first sentence.
The Contest*:
You will vote on your favourite HOOD member for each of several categories. You will do this by Private Messaging me. I will then compile the votes and we will have run-offs if necessary; if not, I will announce the winners. The winners will receive the accolades they deserve for being the best at whatever category they win. Unless, somebody can offer a better prize - I have nothing else (maybe a book bag). The person for whom you vote must be in your HOOD prior to voting. They do NOT have to be in MY HOOD, nor do you have to be in MY HOOD to be eligible.

Okay, those are the categories. I don't have to know why you voted for a person, just who and in what category. You only get one vote per category.
The Timeline:
You have until October 31 to get your votes in to me. Should be long enough I imagine. Maybe too long, but that can't hurt - unless I forget, which I will not. The winners will be announced shortly there after.
Your votes will be recorded true and accurate because I have the law furm of Kit, Ash, and Clyde (KAC) watching my every move.

My new Meat Day group is kinda running low on the members, only I and SBAM or currently on the band wagon. So, here it is, my official invite to all those that love MEAT - join the MEAT GROUP!
Vox People, I know most of you eat MEAT. Not just meat, but meat with "the veg**." I am not trying to rule out "the veg." I am only trying to declare a Vox Holiday every Friday - Friday is Meat Day! Find some meat and eat it.
In fact, a contest! Join the Meat Group*. Once you join, if you have banner making skills, make a banner that supports the Meat Group's one rule - Eat Meat. Submit said banner by posting it to the group. My crack Meat Banner judging team (Me, My Cat Clyde, SBAM, and possibly my wife) will decide upon a winner. For winning, your banner will be THE banner for the Meat Group - how cool is that? Also, you will become a group moderator (er, HOST) - best prize ever. As group moderator (er, HOST), you can initiate your own Meat Group Contests and generally see to the daily (ha ha) upkeep of the group. Oh, the contest is over next Friday, September 07.
*Meat can include anything that is, in fact, MEAT. Chicken, Beef, Pork, Seafood, Venison, Bison, etc, within Reason...
