...Christmas. 

Why?

We got our tree!  It's not artificial; it's real!  This is our first "official" Christmas tree - we had artificial ones in our apartments.  We went and picked it out at a tree place and then put it up.  It took a bit to put it up as it slants a bit no matter what we do to it; however, it looks good.  It's good to have a real tree.  The only question is whether the cats will let it stand...

Where's Ash in all of this?  Apparently he ain't impressed with the tree, so no photos with him and Slanty as of yet.

Hell may have frozen over...

Our three cats are very loving creatures, really; however, they do not really "love" each other.  That is, they are usually not caught dead sleeping next to each other.

So, imagine my surprise this morning to find all three of them in bed with us.  Oh, and that is Clyde being scratched by me wife.  Clyde does not particularly like me wife.  He really only likes me.  So, not only is he snuggled up to the other cats, he is allowing me wife to scratch him.  Strange stuff indeed.  It may be that it is cold.  I do not turn the heater on too much, so it was about 60 degrees in the house, but it wasn't that cold.

Clyde eventually came to his senses and tried to escape our little photo shoot.

Well, before I announce the winners, I must state that we only had 16 respondents and that some categories did not have a true winner.  Anyway, without further ado, the winners are...

Well, there you have it.  A contest of sorts that will end not quite in sorts.  So, comment on the winners you know and meet the ones you don't know.  Maybe one day this contest will be taken up again by one braver and more apt with counting than KAC. 

Once again, your humble stat keepers - KAC (well at least Ash):

The Law Furm of KAC (Kit, Ash, and Clyde) has reached a 2 out 3 decision to slightly alter the contest's rules.  This comes after several Hood Peeps have posted their answers to their blog as well as PMed me - Sixbucksamonkey and IG to name but two.  According to the Furm's original rules, you were to PM me your entries and then after the end of October, I would announce the winners.  The Furm has since decided that it would be a good idea for you to post your answers to your blog so that people would know for whom you voted and why.  The Furm also agrees that this may be a good idea because sometimes all I received were initials, like IG, for entries.  IG, can be one of several VOX members, thus making it hard to determine the actual winner.  The Furm further states that you must also post a comment with a link to your entries, if you go this route, to the original contest proposal - found here.

At the end of October, I will aggregate all of the entries and deliver the final winners.  You will then be able to tell the world, again, whom you voted for and why.  Out of all of the winners, you will then vote on the ultimate winner. 

The Law Furm of KAC must state once again that this is a 2 out 3 decision because one member could not be reached for comment.
